Ominnik Marsh Trail in RMNP, Handpainted Pocket Compass
This compass was inspired by Ominnik Marsh Trail in Riding Mountain National Park! I painted the marsh on the inside lid of this traditional compass using my photo as a reference. I used acrylic paint and finished it with a high gloss varnish. In certain angles of light, you can see the broad brush strokes I've laid down before adding the smaller fine details in. Each compass is one of a kind, all individually painted by me.
