This is a tiny painting I created. It features a paper crane on a yellow background. It is signed and dated on the backside.
Throughout the Far East, the crane is considered an auspicious bird and is known variously as the bird of happiness, the heavenly crane, and bird of peace. In Japan, after the Second World War, origami cranes became a symbol of peace and hope. This little painting is a symbol of grace, wisdom, peace, and love of life.
